Terminate removes the worker from your workforce. Termination is for workers you no longer need. If you only want to pause work temporarily, use the runtime toggle instead.

What happens during termination

When you terminate a worker:
  • You are asked to confirm the action.
  • The worker is removed from your workforce.
  • Connected channels and triggers are cleaned up.
  • The worker should no longer process normal work.
Termination is destructive. Use it only when you are sure the worker should be removed.

Pause instead of terminate

Use the runtime toggle when you want to temporarily stop a worker without deleting it. Pausing is better when:
  • You are investigating behaviour
  • You are changing settings
  • You need a temporary operational hold
  • You may need the worker again later
