Use Settings on an AI Employee’s page to control how the worker thinks, when they work, what they remember, who they can contact, and how connected tools are approved. Changes remain drafts until you select Save Changes. Saving a pricing-sensitive change also refreshes the worker’s billing quote.

Settings at a glance

Defaults for a new worker

Unless onboarding supplies different values, a new worker starts with:
Available models and defaults can change as Odella adds or retires supported models. A saved retired model may appear as Deprecated until you select a current option.

Settings that affect billing

The following user-editable fields can change the quote or usage charges:
  • LLM model and infrastructure size determine the quoted hourly rate.
  • Working days and hours determine scheduled hours and the monthly estimate.
  • After Hours Billing permits work outside the schedule at the after-hours rate.
  • Image and video generation are usage-based and are separate from the scheduled hourly rate.
  • Additional model usage charges may apply under the worker’s plan.
Timezone, language, currency display, memory, and security settings do not normally change the hourly quote directly, but timezone determines whether work falls inside or outside working hours.

Saved quote and system-managed fields

Billing also displays fields that cannot be edited directly in the Settings form: These fields help identify the pricing terms currently applied to the worker. Saving a pricing-sensitive setting refreshes the quote for future work; it does not change charges that have already been finalized.
