The Workforce Overview Page
The page header reads “Workforce Overview,” with a subtitle about managing and monitoring your team of specialized AI employees. The top bar contains Search employee, Sort, and Add Worker.- Status, shown with a clock icon: Stopped, Available now, or Outside working hours. Status is driven by the working-hours widget on the worker’s profile — see The Worker Profile below.
- Controls vary by status:
- Stopped → play (start), knowledge/library, settings (gear).
- Running (Available now / Outside working hours) → chat, pause, knowledge/library, settings.

- Hire from Marketplace — browse and hire pre-configured workers; ideal for common roles and quick starts.
- Create New Worker — build a custom AI employee from scratch; best for specialized roles and unique requirements.

Let AI Help Me — Add the Details
“Describe the role or attach a job description and we’ll handle the rest.”
- Describe the worker’s role in the free-text box, or use one of the starter templates (Payroll Administrator, Recruiting Coordinator, Expense Auditor, Invoice Processor, Document Controller).
- Optionally attach a job description (PDF, DOC, DOCX, CSV, TXT, or Markdown).
- Click Create Worker.

I'll Do It Myself — Manual Configuration
- Profile Image — choose an avatar.
- Background Color — choose an avatar background color.
- Add the details (keep the Purpose to 1–2 short sentences):
- Name (e.g., “Kevin”)
- Role (e.g., “Report Analyst”)
- Purpose (e.g., “Analyzes performance data and produces clear reports for the team…”)
- Click Create Worker.

Hire from Marketplace
Clicking Hire from Marketplace → Next opens the Marketplace (“Discover Solutions for Every Task”):
- Search bar for AI employees, templates, or workflows.
- Content organized by category (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Customer Success), each with a template count.
- Browse or search, select the AI employee you want, and click Hire.
Kara is Odella’s AI setup assistant, referenced in the “Let AI Help Me” flow and elsewhere in the product (e.g., “Choose what Kara can do…”, “Allow Kara to send alerts…”).
Delegating Work to Your AI Employees
Interact with your AI employees the same way you work with your team - no new systems to learn, no complicated interfaces. These connections are configured on the worker’s profile, in two places:Connect an inbox from the Inboxes tab via Connect Inbox, so the employee can monitor email, keep context, and handle follow-ups.

Talk to the employee directly using the Chat button on their profile.

Clicking a worker on the Workforce Overview page opens their profile.Header
- Avatar, Name, Role, description.
- Start Worker / Pause Worker toggle (Start when stopped, Pause when running).
- Chat button.
- Three quick icons near the avatar: chat/message, contact/profile card, and a panel-collapse toggle.
Left panel
Two tabs:- Inboxes — connect an inbox so the employee can monitor email, keep context, and handle follow-ups, via Connect Inbox. Empty state: “No inboxes connected.”
- Applications (formerly “Applications to setup”) — connect plugins to this worker. See Integrations Overview.
- Working hours / usage widget — scheduled vs. active hours for the week (e.g., “0 / 40h,” “Resets in 7 days”). This is the source of the overview cards’ status states.
- Cost Breakdown — per-hour rate (e.g., “$0.55/h”).
Worker tabs
The profile has seven tabs: Skills, Calendar, Actions, Workspace, Activity, Identity, Settings.Skills (default)
Skills (default)
“Expand [worker]‘s Skills” — select a category to add a sub-skill. Categories: Tools, Workflows, Templates, Knowledge, Skills, and Communication Channels. Each opens a right-side panel with an Explore / Added toggle and a search box:
- Skills Catalog — master catalog of all skills (125 shown), with “Created by you” plus left-hand category filters (Accounting, Compliance, Data, Design, Education, Engineering, Finance, General, Knowledge, Legal, …), each with a count. Select via checkbox.
- Add Tools — “Choose what Kara can do by selecting tools.” External integrations (ABS Indicator API, Airtable, Alpaca Account, …), each showing a tool count (e.g., “+16 tools”) and a Connect button where auth is needed.
- Add Workflows — “Add automated workflows to this employee.” Pre-built workflows (e.g., Apollo Lookalike Finder, Automated Onboarding Trigger), each with name, description, and select.
- Add Templates — “Add response templates for this employee.” Document/response templates (e.g., QLD legal forms — powers of attorney, will intake checklist).
- Add Knowledge — “Add knowledge bases and documents.” Connected knowledge bases (Contract Store, Employee Documents, Olivia_Drive, Personal Profile).
- Add Communication Channels — “Connect to your team’s favorite messaging and email platforms.” Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, etc., each with a Configure button; some marked Free.

An “Upcoming Tasks” pane plus a week/month calendar with timezone, Today / Week / Month controls, and an add-task button. Shows the worker’s scheduled tasks. See Calendar.

Actions
Event-driven automations. Empty state: “No actions configured — Create an action to automate what happens when events occur across your connected tools,” via Create New Action. Distinct from Workflows: Actions are event triggers across connected tools.

Workspace
File store for the worker. “Upload files to Workspace or drag and drop them here.” Accepts common docs, text/data files, and standard images; up to 20 files, 25MB each.
Activity
Activity
Live event log/console (e.g., “activity - atlasperfection370,” Live indicator) with filters: All, Threads, Workflows, Heartbeats, Tasks, Subagents. Shows runtime events. See Activity.

- Agent Profiles — avatar, Name, Role, Purpose, Personality (dropdown, e.g., Default), Voice (e.g., Roger — “Laid-back, casual, resonant,” with preview), Manager.
- General Instructions — rich-text editor for operational guidelines, tone of voice, escalation policies, and more.
